Our Beliefs

At Journey to Faith Ministries, our beliefs are grounded in the truth of God’s Word and centered on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. These foundational beliefs guide everything we do—from how we serve others to how we support individuals and families on their faith journey.

What We Believe

We believe in one God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Though distinct in person, they are one in essence, power, and purpose, working together in creation, redemption, and our daily lives.

We believe that Jesus Christ was and is the Son of God. He reveals the heart of the Father and is the only Savior of the world, fully God and fully man.

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus, His sinless life, His miracles, His sacrificial death for our sins, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return in power and glory.

We believe that all people have sinned and that forgiveness and cleansing from sin come only through the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for us on the cross.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for salvation. Through the Spirit, we are made new, restored, and brought into right relationship with God.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, who lives within believers and enables them to live godly lives that reflect the fruit of the Spirit.

We believe that people are justified by faith in Jesus Christ alone and not by works. Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith.

We believe that Christ’s redemptive work provides healing for the whole person—spirit, soul, and body—according to God’s will and purpose.

We believe that all believers may ask for and receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit, an experience that follows salvation and empowers believers for life and service.

We believe that speaking in tongues is a biblical experience for believers today and is a common evidence of the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as described in Scripture, are active today and should be practiced in love and order within the church.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost—the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal judgment.

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.

We believe that the Bible, in its original language, is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith and life.

We believe in the reality and personality of Satan, who seeks to oppose God’s work, yet is ultimately defeated through Jesus Christ.

We believe in observing the Lord’s Supper as a sacred remembrance of Christ’s death. His blood purchased our salvation, and His broken body provides healing.
